Stretching more than three kilometres of greenery along the very shore of the Baltic Sea, Liepāja Seaside Park is one of the largest planted parks in Latvia and a unique natural landmark created back in the late 19th century. This place is an outstanding example of how resort elegance meets a dynamic modern urban environment, offering peaceful relaxation in the shade of trees and instant access to Liepāja's famous Blue Flag beach.
The park was created to protect the city from sea winds and drifting sands, but over the years it has transformed into a magnificent dendrological garden with more than 140 native and exotic tree and shrub species, cosy walking paths and the historic architecture of the seaside villas along its edges.
