A place where ancient skills come alive and meet the present day! The Liepāja Craftsmen's House is a unique cultural space that brings together masters of various trades from Kurzeme to preserve, develop and pass on the region's rich craft traditions to future generations. This house is an open workshop where every visitor has the opportunity not only to view finished works, but also to watch the creative process in person.

Upon entering the house, you will be swept up by the genuine hum of creativity and work – here weaving looms clatter, amber and leather are in the air, and the masters' hands create things of lasting value and soul.

The Craftsmen's House offers a diverse and interactive experience for every lover of culture and traditions:

• The world's longest amber beads: The house's greatest pride and a unique attraction – amber beads 123 metres long and weighing nearly 20 kilograms. Liepāja locals and city guests themselves contributed their pieces of amber to its creation, forming an inimitable symbol of community.

• Applied folk art studios: The house is home to masters from such renowned studios as "Kursa" and "Zītars". Here, colourful and authentic Southern Kurzeme folk costumes, woven blankets, tablecloths and shawls are created.

• Various craft workshops: Visitors can look into the daily work of jewellers, amber processing masters, leather artists, ceramists and wicker weavers, learning the subtleties and secrets of each craft.

• Purchasing authentic souvenirs: This is an excellent place to buy original souvenirs and gifts handmade by local masters – from warm wool socks to unique silver and amber jewellery.

• Creative workshops and hands-on participation: By prior arrangement, master classes are offered to groups and individual visitors, in which you can try your hand at one of the crafts under the guidance of knowledgeable masters.
