"Stenders Confectionery" is located on the second floor of Liepāja's 17th–19th century interior museum "Madame Hoijer's Guest House". The exposition of this floor is arranged as the apartment of relatives of the notary Christoph Wilhelm Stender, and alongside it operates a charming confectionery that invites visitors to a leisurely and delightful pastime.
Upon entering the confectionery, time seems to stand still – here you can sit at the authentic tables and chairs of Thonet, a pioneer of design and industrialisation, sip coffee from fine porcelain sets and savour the peaceful everyday rhythm of the townspeople.
A visit to the confectionery is best combined with a tour of the entire Hoijer House (on the first floor there is the 17th-century "Hoijer Tavern" and bakery, while on the second – the Stender apartment).
