About “Romas dārzs” (“Roman garden”)
The gallery "Romas dārzs" invites visitors to discover the creativity of Liepāja’s artists, offering insight into both the art world of the 20th century and contemporary art. The exhibition "Liepāja – Time – Artist" is the only place in Liepāja where residents and visitors can continuously explore the creative world of local artists. Around 150 artworks are on display, including paintings, watercolors, and graphic art, providing a deep dive into Liepāja's art scene.
The art gallery “Romas dārzs” also includes “Museum of Puppet Art and Design”.
The Doll Art and Design Museum has created an exciting permanent exhibition "The Suitcase House Journey," based on Ināra Liepa's collection of historical items. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of dolls, toys, carousels, shadow theater, and various household objects from the 19th century to the present day. With more than 1,000 exhibits, which are continuously updated over time, the museum provides an ongoing source of discovery and inspiration for visitors.
