“Pegaza Pagalms” invites you to music events all summer long.

This summer, the cultural venue “Pegaza Pagalms” in Liepāja (Kuršu Street 20) will host a concert series titled “Summer = Liepāja”, offering everyone the chance to enjoy music from various genres — including free concerts.

June 20 at 8:00 PM

Liepāja-born singer and songwriter TIPA invites you to the concert celebrating her debut album “ESĪBA” (“EXISTENCE”). This will be a story about truth, peace, and beauty—woven through both the bright and challenging moments of life. Her music blends tenderness with courage, and on this evening, it will find its listener.

As TIPA herself puts it: “Pegaza Pagalms will allow the essence of this album to come alive and sound exactly the way it’s meant to.”

June 28 at 8:00 PM

At Pegaza Pagalms, the stage will welcome IGO – a renowned singer, musician, and versatile artist. He won’t be performing alone: joining him will be the evening’s special guest, Antra Stafecka – an outstanding vocalist and songwriter who has previously collaborated with IGO in various musical projects.

Together with IGO and Antra Stafecka, the performance will also feature Jānis Strazds (pianist and composer) and Ivars Kalniņš (percussionist). This will be a heartfelt musical reunion, with songs that touch the soul and bring generations together.

Pegaza Pagalms will host Havjers Fernandez, the winner of Latvijas Sirdsdziesma 2024, together with his musical ensemble Los Nens and fellow Latin American musicians. They will present a vibrant concert program titled “Greetings from Madrid”.

This will be a musical journey filled with the rhythms of Spain and Latin America — blending authentic Latino sounds with thoughtful storytelling and vivid arrangements.

July 19 at 8:00 PM

You’re invited to a concert by the singer BŪŪ, where freedom and genuine emotion will take center stage! Her sparkling lightness and infectious joy create a special atmosphere where everyone can feel, sing along, and simply be themselves.

Joining BŪŪ on the Pegaza stage will be drummer Artūrs Strautmanis and bass guitarist Toms Valmiers, delivering a true sense of freedom through music. This concert program will be filled with warmth and positive energy.

Join us for the musical performance “NJ1970” featuring the charismatic stage personality Normunds Jakušonoks! His voice, humor, and music have accompanied audiences across generations, and this year he celebrates his 55th birthday — with songs, life stories, and an endless dose of humor.

In this musical stand-up show, Normunds will reveal behind-the-scenes secrets, share some of the most memorable and heartfelt moments from his life on stage, and get everyone singing along to beloved and well-known songs.

The Pegaza stage will feature the versatile musician Jānis Niedra – a passionate singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. His music forms a bridge between classical sophistication and modern pop/rock influences, where the lyrics become stories – intimate, sincere, and unforgettable.

July 3 at 8:00 PM

Pegaza Pagalms will host EKLEKTIKA – a trio that fuses jazz improvisation, funk rhythms, and the sound of progressive rock. Thanks to their distinctive instrumentation, the trio captivates audiences with a truly unique sound.

The band Audiokvartāls will take the stage with a concert. Their performances blend melancholy with bursts of perhaps too much energy, refreshed by a dose of self-irony — uplifting both themselves and everyone in the audience.

Vocalist Evilena Protektore and double bass virtuoso Staņislavs Judins will perform a folk-jazz music program. This concert will be an adventurous blend where acoustic and electronic sounds meet, enriched by folk music influences and the freedom of improvisation.

July 16 at 8:00 PM

The Pegaza Pagalms stage will feature the jazz quartet of saxophonist Patrīcija Anna Doniņa. She will be joined by Beata Estere Mačtama on piano, Oskars Nejs on drums, and Emīls Fricis Bogdanovičs on double bass.

Singer Elise DeMae, whose musical journey spans both Latvia and the USA, invites you to an evening concert. She will perform alongside guitarist Alekss Pusts and percussionist Toms Kagainis. The trio will present a mix of popular pop and R&B cover songs, as well as original compositions.

July 23 at 8:00 PM

Jazz returns to Pegaza Pagalms with the Rūdolfs Kolerts Quintet. The concert will feature both original compositions and pieces by renowned jazz musicians such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kenny Garrett, Gilad Hekselman, and others.

July 24 at 8:00 PM

The energetic and musically rich band The Rolltones will take the stage. The concert will feature songs from their second studio album “Tālāk”, along with audience favorites from their album “Road Trip”.

July 25 at 8:00 PM

Get ready for an evening full of vibrant emotions with the reggae/ska band “2tie”. Their music is rhythmic and irresistibly danceable, yet also known for its philosophical and meaningful lyrics — often infused with humor.

Pegaza Pagalms invites you to a musical adventure with the duo “Viņš un Viņa”. This evening will bring together Latvian and French cultures, creating a unique soundscape that blends elements of electronica, jazz, and folklore.

Taking the stage will be Ilze Lejiņa and Fred Ormēns – multi-instrumentalists with rich musical backgrounds and a passion for surprising their audience.

August 22 at 8:00 PM

Taking the stage at Pegaza Pagalms will be FunCOOLio – a band known for its original sound that blends elements of jazz, funk, and rock into a unique style called Baltic Fusion. FunCOOLio performs music that captivates both jazz enthusiasts and those simply looking to feel the rhythm and freedom.

The free concert series “Summer = Liepāja” is made possible with financial support from the Liepāja Culture Department and the State Culture Capital Foundation project competitions.

Admission Policy for Minors:

  • Visitors under the age of 16 are allowed to attend unaccompanied by an adult only from the age of 16 and up.

  • According to current regulations, children under 16 years of age are not permitted in public places between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, foster family, institution head, or an authorized adult.
